The Gujarat Titans are having a stellar run in IPL 2025, and one of the stars of the team this season is pacer , who has emerged as the highest wicket-taker of the franchise in the tournament so far. The Bengaluru-born pacer has taken 16 wickets in the eight matches and is in the race of bagging the Purple Cap.
Prasidh has opened up on individuals who have helped him improve this season, addressing the role of behind his performances this year. He revealed that sticking to his plans and bowling as per the conditions has helped him excel in the tournament.
“I was very clear about what I wanted to work on, made sure I put in the hours, and had the right conversations with Ashish Nehra. One thing that I’ve learned from him is about reading the conditions, the pitch, making sure you make the right decisions when you’re at the top of the mark,” Prasidh said on JioHotstar Press Room.
Prasidh also spoke about the the importance of consistency and staying grounded as Gujarat Titans looks to secure playoffs berth.
"Performing in every game as a team is crucial, and that’s exactly what we’re focusing on. No matter how many wins you have, momentum can shift with one match. We're staying humble, working hard, and preparing thoroughly for every game."
KL Rahul’s wicket was my favourite: Prasidh KrishnaPrasidh also revealed that the dismissal of Delhi Capitals wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul is his favourite one from the tournament so far.
“All of these things help you be more confident. And when you’re confident, I think you would want to play as many games as possible and make sure you contribute to your team’s victory, KL Rahul’s wicket was my favourite because I was kind of under the pressure. I was lucky that the ball swung very late and got somebody like KL Rahul,” he said.
Speaking about how Gujarat Titans can maintain their top-two position, Prasidh highlighted the need to be consistent in team performance. "We need to keep enjoying the cricket we’re playing, take responsibility, make smart decisions on the ground, and keep working harder. That’s been our motto, and we’ll continue it through the season."
