Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], April 7 (ANI): Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy embarked on a program of 'Lunch with beneficiary families" of the Congress government's "Fine Rice" distribution scheme in Sarapaka village of Burgampadu mandal in Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Sunday, according to an official statement from the CM's Office.
According to the statement, after attending Srirama Navami rituals at the famous Sita Ramachandraswamy temple in the temple town of Bhadrachalam, the Chief Minister drove to the house of Buram Srinivas, one of the beneficiaries of the Fine Rice distribution scheme in the village.
CM Revanth Reddy had lunch with the family. During the lunch, the CM inquired about the family's living conditions, the statement added.
When the CM asked about rice quality, the homemaker Tulasamma said their family was not interested in buying coarse rice, which was being supplied earlier, it said.
The statement added that Tulasamma thanked CM Revanth Reddy for distributing fine rice to poor families at an affordable price every month.
The Chief Minister also asked family members about the benefits of a free power supply of up to 200 units and a cooking gas cylinder for only Rs 500.
The statement further added Tulasamma expressed happiness that the free bus travel is very useful for working women community. (ANI)
