Agartala (Tripura) [India], September 29 (ANI): The Government Railway Police (GRP) in Agartala, in collaboration with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), successfully detained five individuals, including one Bangladeshi national and four Rohingya refugees, at the Agartala Railway Station this afternoon.
The operation was based on a confidential tip-off. The detained individuals, who had illegally entered India from Bangladesh, include three Rohingya men, one Rohingya woman, and one Bangladeshi man. The accused were identified as Amir Hakim, Yasmin Akhtar, Md Tarek, Mahamad Ulla and Sukur Ali.
A case has been registered at the Agartala GRP station regarding the illegal entry of these individuals into India. The detainees will be presented before the court tomorrow for further legal proceedings.
The GRP continues its vigilance and actions against illegal immigration in the region. (ANI)
