Central Food Security Policy: Under this policy, the government provides essential rations at subsidized prices to those who have a ration card.

Linking Electricity Meter to Ration Card: The Himachal Pradesh government has started a scheme, where the electricity meter will be linked to the ration card. This will enable the subsidy on electricity to be sent directly to the consumers' accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

KYC Process: Himachal Pradesh Electricity Board is running a Know Your Customer (KYC) process to properly link electricity meters to ration cards.
