BPSC 71st CCE Prelims 2025: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued an important notice regarding BPSC 71st Combined Civil Preliminary Examination 2025. The commission has rejected all claims of postponement of the preliminary examination. In a press release shared on the social media platform X, the commission has confirmed that the BPSC 71st Preliminary Examination will be conducted on September 13. BPSC has criticized the coaching institutes and social media handles responsible for spreading the rumor of the postponement of the examination. Also, candidates have been advised to be alert to such rumors.
The commission called the information about the postponement of the exam going viral as fake. The commission reiterated that any announcement regarding the postponement of the examination will be made only through its official website and official social media accounts or formal press releases. According to the release, candidates will be given enough time to download their BPSC preliminary exam admit cards and get details about their exam districts and centers as per previous procedures.

The commission also urged the candidates appearing for the examination to be cautious of misinformation and avoid trusting unofficial sources. Earlier, the commission had received complaints from some coaching institutes alleging similarities in the exam questions and model papers. In response, the commission categorically denied these allegations and called them completely false and misleading.
How many posts are to be recruited?
A total of 1264 posts are to be recruited through the BPSC 71st Combined Civil Services Examination. In the first notification issued, the number of posts was 1250. Later, the total number of posts was increased to 1,264 by adding 14 posts of DSP.
