The Sweden forward has been one of the main players strongly linked with a move to the this summer. Gyokeres, who joined Sporting Clube de Portugal in 2023, took the Liga Portugal by storm - scoring 43 goals in 50 appearances across all competitions last season.
This term, he's set to surpass that figure - having already netted 43 goals in as many games. He's set to leave the Portuguese giants in glory as Sporting are on course to win the league, once again, while they are also in contest to lift the Portuguese Cup.

Over the weekend, Correio Da Manha reported that the 26-year-old has 'already given his yes' to . It's said that Arsenal's project was presented to him from newly-appointed sporting director Andrea Berta.
The report adds that Berta has played a major role in the would-be move after deciding to prioritise the Sweden international.
Here, football.london takes a look at the latest news from Portuguese media surrounding Gyokeres;
Saudi Arabia interestMario Figueiredo wrote: "Al Qadisiyah are preparing to enter the race for the Swedish striker and are willing to bid high. Although Gyokeres maintains the desire to play in England, Saudi Arabia are willing to make an irrefutable proposal to make Gyokeres change his mind and accept their proposal.
"But as the CM reported on Saturday, the Gunners' new sports director Andrea Berta, has already presented the project to the Swedish international - and he has agreed a move to London. For now, Gyokeres' focus continues with Sporting until the end of the season."
Release clause 'truth'Eduardo Pedrosa Costa of , penned: "Sporting CP have an agreement with Gyokeres to let the Swedish striker leave for a price below his release clause to honour the player's decision to stay one more season at Alvalade.
"Sporting reached a pact with Gyokeres to let him leave for a value between €65m-€75m (£55m-£63m). Although the termination clause is set at €100m (£84m). Sporting president Frederico Varandas will let him leave for less."
Nott'm Forest and Newcastle linksVitor Pinto said last week: "As previously reported by Record, Gyokeres is not available to represent Nottingham Forest with all respect to their project. He intends to join clubs of other dimension and his agent has been working behind the scenes for a long time.
"But we're not seeing Gyokeres give up Champions League football because that is a clear goal of his. His stance over Newcastle is simple; he wouldn't go there unless Alexander Isak left."
Gyokeres fully focusedMiguel Mendes of adds: "Gyokeres is immune to pressure and media focus that surrounds him. He has already been strongly linked with a host of Premier League clubs but despite all the attention that he's getting, Gyokeres does not want to talk about his departure.
"Gyokeres wants to leave Alvalade not only with several personal awards but, also, more importantly, with titles. Sporting are in competing for the 'dobradinha', the Liga Portugal and the Portuguese Cup. The Swede is putting all his focus and attention to leave with Sporting in glory."
'No adjectives' for Gyokeres"There are no adjectives for Viktor, he is an extraordinary forward," the Lions boss Rui Borges previously said. "He has helped the team to grow and he gives confidence to his teammates.
"He is a different player, he is the best in our league, clearly. He trains like the rest.
"Above all, he is a focused player, who pays attention to the details, he is competitive, never lets his guard down and doesn't want to rest."
Nani verdict speaks volumesThe former Manchester United star, Nani, has spoken about the Swedish frontman - having taken the Portuguese league by storm for a second successive season. Speaking to , Nani said: "I've seen his last games and it's noticeable that he's more mature because he's no longer wasting energy and knows when the right time to give the ball to his teammates is, so when he doesn't score, he makes assists.
"Gyokeres is prepared for the Premier League and, a year ago, I didn't say this because he only thought about running while now he plays with intelligence. I would love to see him at United because he can run 90 minutes at the same speed...
"In Portugal no defence stops him. One of the last games I played was at Estrela da Amadora and when I collided with him, it felt like I hit a rock."
'Impossible' to keep GyokeresFormer Sporting striker Carlos Saleiro wrote: "There is practically nothing we can say to describe his quality. He has to enjoy the last few weeks wearing the Sporting shirt. It will be impossible to keep Viktor. What he has been doing is out of the ordinary. I don't remember any other Sporting striker doing what he does.
"There were many good strikers at Sporting - but the way he produces and makes the goals there was none. The last one who perhaps scored as many goals as Gyokeres was Jardel, but at the time, he had a whole team working for him. At this point, I look at Viktor and see a completely different player, a player who alone creates his own goal situations and sometimes he carries the team on his own back."
