Victoria Taylor: Police issue major update in search for missing bride-to-be as search enters eighth day

Police have issued a major update about a mum who has been missing for over a week in North Yorkshire.

Victoria Taylor, 34, from her family home in Malton, leaving behind her fiancé Matthew and their two-year-old daughter. She was last seen on CCTV purchasing a drink at the based at the local BP garage on Welham Road. The mum went missing at around 9am on September 30.

Her disappearance has sent shockwaves through the and has prompted a large response from locals in the area. This afternoon, police said they have had a further sigthing of the mum, but revealed they are no evidence of 'third party involvement'.

Her friend Charlotte Cundill set up a search group, which now has 8,000 members. "Day eight, we have rolled into another week. Not what any of us wanted but we won't be giving up on you beautiful," she said.

Victoria's sisters launched an emotional for her to make contact with them as police divers continued their search in a river last week. It comes after her personal possessions were located close to the River Derwent. Her sisters Emma and Heidi said they "currently feel sick, distraught and lost."

In a statement, they said: "We currently feel sick, distraught and lost following the disappearance of Vixx, but we are trying to focus on the children in the family to maintain a sense of routine at this difficult time. We would like to thank all the emergency services and volunteers who have assisted in the search for Vixx so far.

"The wider local community has also rallied around, and we are eternally grateful for the support that they have given to us, Vixx’s family." Emma added: "Vicky, just come home. We just want her home. She's got a little baby and her partner. We're just so worried." Heidi said: "She's a very popular person. Obviously, she's a nurse and looked after so many people's parents round here."

According to reports, her partner . He has previously spoken out about Victoria and described her as a doting mum to their daughter. He explained that she "didn't have the best of upbringings and she wanted to give this child a better one."

Local residents and friends have been searching the market town and putting missing posters up. There is even one outside of St Leonard and St Mary Catholic Church in Malton - where it's believed she hoped to marry fiancé Matthew Williams. One person posted in thegroup: "I really cannot stop thinking about your beautiful friend. I know I don't know her personally like thousands of others, but she has really touched our hearts. I pray she is safe and found really soon for you all, sending love to you."
