During Tuesday's instalment of This Morning, fashion star Lisa Snowdon was giving viewers a masterclass in 80s fashion.
As models walked down the runway showcasing some of the best high street buys, and were taken aback when one star made an unexpected cameo.
Comedian and author turned the corner in a black faux jacket and red trousers, as he finished the look with cosy slippers.
Ben and Cat instantly burst out laughing as Lisa commented: "Unbelievable, stunning!" The presenters tried to compose themselves as Ben joked about the outfit, claiming it was a bit of him.
Lisa replied: "Don't get jealous now darling!" As David strutted his stuff down the runway, Lisa informed people watching where the items were available to buy.
Taking off his jacket to reveal a shimmery sleeveless top, Cat cheered as he posed into the camera. Commenting on the odd choice of footwear, Ben asked where they could be bought as David confessed they were his own.
He replied: Well, I couldn't get any high heels to fit me, they're quite specialist." Cat added: "You should've gone to my dressing room, I've got big feet!"
Joking that he had already had a look at her wardrobe earlier on, David told the star he had tried everything on there. Telling their guest it was nice to see him, Cat quipped: "So understated as always!"
Opening his arms, David replied: "I've got a book out! It's , I've got a book out!"
However, the former judge's appearance wasn't entirely random as he was speaking to the two presenters later on in the show about his upcoming book and reuniting with Matt Lucas for a new comedy special.
Speaking about the book, which is his first murder mystery, David had an awkward moment when he accidentally gave away a spoiler. Informing Cat and Ben about how one character in particular dies in the book, he said: "Oh I've given it away now!"
During the segment, there was a sweet moment where children sent in videos to David about his book career, asking him questions.
