Rose Ayling-Ellis has spoken out after fans issued the same complaint about David Mitchell's series, Ludwig.

The new comedy-drama, which aired earlier this week, follows David Mitchell's character John Taylor who is forced to visit his sister-in-law Lucy Betts-Taylor (Anna Maxwell Martin) in Cambridge. He learns his twin brother DCI James Taylor has disappeared as Lucy reveals a case he was working on before his vanishing act made him act differently.

Lucy asks John to take on his twin's persona and pretend to be an officer to try and find out the truth. However, fans were distracted by the overbearing 'mangled Beethoven' music they used throughout the episode. Amid the complaints, Strictly Come Dancing winner Rose took to her Instagram to share her pride over her involvement in the show.

Along with pictures of her in costume, she wrote: "Never did I imagine I would find myself wearing something similar to what my teachers used to wear [laughing emoji]. Enjoy seeing me make a small appearance in Ludwig; all episodes are now available on iPlayer."

Fans rushed to the comment section to compliment her, with one user saying: "Watched your episode on IPLAYER well done you congratulations," while another person added: "Thank you for the reminder. How amazing you look in the transformations your roles require. It shows how talented and content you are!"

"Gorgeous girlie no matter what you are wearing [blue heart emoji] very different look for sure ... such a professional. Can't wait to see this," one proud fan added in the comment section.

While watching the show, fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their annoyance over the soundtrack. One person said: "I think they’ve made their point with the Beethoven." Another commented: "Quite enjoying #Ludwig but the constant music is bad enough without every bit being mangled Beethoven."

Someone else wrote: " #Ludwig Not sure if I’ll be able to tolerate the jaunty. Up. Beat. Comedy score support. For. Much. Longer…" Another irritated viewer fumed: "Oh ffs! Is that irritating 'this is a comedy romp' music going to be constant & underline fact it's called ... #Ludwig."

One person commented: "#Ludwig music is rather annoying. Apart from that good." While someone else demanded: "Can we please stop with the music !! #Ludwig" However, it seemed as though the majority of viewers enjoyed the new show, with many admitting they were going to binge the episodes on iPlayer.
