Ruth Langsford admits she's 'not been out for days' as she recovers from mystery illness

Ruth Langsford confessed that she'd been housebound for several days after catching 'the lurgy'. The ex-This Morning host was out for a stroll with her beloved dog, Maggie, when she decided to share a fresh update with her fans.

"I've had a couple of days at home with the lurgy but feeling better today so I ventured out for a stroll with Maggie," she , sharing a quick clip of her dog trotting along the pavement. She added: "Nice to get some fresh air."

In a follow-up story, Ruth then disclosed that she had lost her appetite while ill, but was now feeling hungry again. Taking a snap of her 'delicious' dinner- sausage, chips and peas smothered in gravy - she shone a light on her symptoms.

"Haven't eaten much for a couple of days so I've gone old school dinner! SO hungry," the panellist penned, according to. She then added: "Bisto instant gravy granules... delicious!! Took me back to school dinners."

Ruth recently underwent a glamorous makeover following her split from former co-star Eamonn Holmes. The couple were married for 14 years before they announced their surprising separation in May.

Last month, Eamonn was spotted in Barcelona with his younger, rumoured love interest, Katie Alexander – who is 22 years his junior. Eamonn and Katie reportedly met several years ago but struck up a close friendship over the last few, following his turbulent time with Ruth.

Katie is a BACP-registered relationship counsellor based in Mirfield, Huddersfield. Her website states that she takes a holistic person-centred approach during her therapy sessions.

She offers a range of services including online and face-to-face sessions at a price of £45 for a 50-minute per meeting.
