The 16-year-old starlet in what was a major coup for the Reds, with deemed one of the most promising talents in Europe after wowing youth coaches. The tricky winger's talent during his time with the Stamford Bridge outfit, where he got to experience rubbing shoulders with some of the club's biggest stars.
One of those was former Liverpool man Sterling, who was left highly impressed with what he saw from Ngumoha on the Cobham training pitches - and even offered him some words of advice to help him further develop his game. Liverpool's latest talent has now revealed exactly what the former Anfield star said to him during their time together in west London, and it appears he's already taken it on following an eye-catching start to life on Merseyside.
Speaking on the latest episode of , Ngumoha said: "One player who has spoken to me is Raheem Sterling. He has been top. I remember one time, he pulled me to the side and told me 'when you lose the ball, make sure you stay in the game'. Because at the top level, everything happens so fast so you have to be on it to do your thing.
"It made me feel like I can do what he has done. He is telling me that he can see what I am good at, from someone like Raheem, I was like 'wow.'"
Ngumoha has already featured for the Under-18s in the U18 Premier League and UEFA Youth League this season. He's and, despite not scoring for Barry Lewtas' side, has shown .
During his time with Liverpool, Sterling bagged 23 goals and 18 assists in 129 games after making his breakthrough as a 17-year-old, having also made the move north from London as a teenager.
Having passed on some of his knowledge to Ngumoha, the former Chelsea academy player will now be hoping to follow in a similar path to the former Liverpool forward, who has gone on to have an illustrious career since.
