Primark is often a go-to option for people looking for affordable clothes but the high street store also has its own section dedicated to homeware too. And, as the calendar turns to October, shoppers are starting to see more and more Christmas items appear in stores.

Primark has most bases covered, whatever your decorating tastes are this festive season. Shoppers and staff alike have been posting videos online showcasing what's on offer - ranging from cute gingerbread characters and candy canes to pretty pinks and more traditional-looking décor.

One user took a whistle-stop tour around the Christmas section in their local Primark to find items that could add a bit of seasonal flair to every room in the house. From making a cosy living room to an inviting kitchen, there are even some items that could go in the bathroom.

In several TikTok videos, shoppers show off some items sure to put on a warming winter table display - including a matching set of napkin holders and a tablecloth. There was also a 'cute' present-shaped mug too.

Another user showed off more of the range that included cosy throws and shaped cushions. There were also lots of 'fun and quirky' Christmas hanging ornaments too, which would add some personality to any tree.

Staff at Liverpool's Primark also showed off cookie jars as well as Santa's Christmas Sleigh Gravy Boat and Christmas Tree Salt and Pepper Shakers. Other stand out items included more character mugs as well as a cosy £6 throw featuring holly.

In Edinburgh, the staff opted to tease customers with some of the kitchen items including a practical gingerbread oven glove. Some noticed the neutral candy cane storage baskets as well which would be perfect for holding all your cosy blankets this winter.

Shoppers, admitting that they knew it was still a bit too early, couldn't hold back their excitement. One said: "What a beautiful sight!"

Another added: "I have a no buying Christmas stuff till November rule and I just know this is all gonna sell out before then! All so cute!"

A third admitted: "Need all of this immediately!" Someone else commented: "My bank did not need me to see this!" A fifth claimed: "Primark is the gift that keeps on giving! Can't wait to get my hands on some of this stuff!"

It appears not every store got the festive memo, as many claimed their Primark's were "broken". One shopper said: "I went to my Primark yesterday and they had NOTHING!"

Another disheartened person wrote: "I was there yesterday and they had nothing in!" A third asked: "I'm not one of these people that thinks it's too early - GIVE ME CHRISTMAS!"

Right now, on October 1, there's not much showing on the Primark website compared to the displays starting to appear in shops across the UK. You can see a sample of what's to come here.
