has been at the centre of romance rumours thanks to his connection with Jowita on and off the dancefloor. They returned to the stage on Saturday night for another routine together as they continue to impress the judges. However, it wasn't just Pete's dance moves that was praised by judge Shirley.

Speaking after their routine, Shirley told Pete and Jowita: "You belted across that floor. I don't think I have ever seen anybody shift their weight across in a quick step like that and that is a good thing. That shows that your technical qualities are starting to get better, your frame start up is exquisite, it drops a bit in the middle but so does everybody elses at week four."

She then added: "I love the smouldering look that you had between the two of you. I didn't mind that little hip role at the end, it was a little treat actually. You sir are improving week upon week." They were met by cheers from the crowd as Pete and Jowita beamed at each other.

Last month, the pair even showed off their chemistry by appearing to kiss at the end of one of their dances. It seems the duo's connection has continue to grow asduring their rehearsals. Photos from rehearsals this week showed Pete and Jowita looking cosier than ever as the reality TV favourite seemed to plant a kiss on Jowita's lips while she wrapped her arms around his neck.

Their on-screen chemistry is reportedly a result of their alleged off-screen fondness for each other. The pair's close bond has been labelled an "open secret", with rumours swirling that Pete is falling "head over heels" for the professional dancer. A source told The Mail on Sunday that Pete is utterly smitten as they said: "Pete has fallen head over heels for Jowita. He thinks she is amazing in every way.

"The feeling is mutual from her side and things have definitely progressed between them. They are all over one another behind the scenes, in a way that a loved-up couple would be." Pete's best friend , also added to the whispers by admitting: "Pete's in love."

Rumours circulated even more when Pete and Jowita divulged on that they plan to get matching tattoos if they scoop the Glitterball Trophy. While appearing on Loose Women, the topic of their tattoo pact came up. Janet Street-Porter quizzed them during the programme, asking: "Is it true that you two are going to get matching tattoos if you win?" To this, Pete confirmed: "Obviously, I have got a fair few tattoos so if we win then we are going to get a couple of glitterballs."
