The star left his legion of loyal fans bereft on October 16 when he was found dead, aged 31, after falling from the third floor of his hotel suite in Argentina.

'Directioners' around the have been paying tribute to the dad-of-one following the tragedy and now they've been dealt more heartbreak as a song Liam made before his death has been leaked.

The star recorded Do No Wrong with his sister, Ruth Gibbins, and Sam Pounds. Featuring lyrics, including: "She can do no wrong and she's in my arms/She's a once in a lifetime love", the single is particularly poignant as it features a man with angel wings as it's front cover.

Responding to the song, which has been posted by the Remembering Liam Payne account on X, formerly , one fan wrote: "This would've been a banger. Oh how I wish to still have him here and to show him our love. I miss you Liam, so much." Another shared: "His unreleased music is so good and he was so excited to release it," with a broken-hearted emoji, while a third replied: "The perfect vocals! He was so talented. I just can't put into words."

Singer Sam has also posted the unreleased song on his YouTube account, as he said: "Dear fans let this song ring louder then the bad reports going out on Liam's name! Let's let the music win! This is what Liam would want. Spread the love & spread the music!"

Fans gathered in their hundreds to mourn the death of , following his death. During part of a vigil held at London's Hyde Park, Directioners erupted into song and belted out What Makes You Beautiful. Mourners also held posters, balloons and flowers in tribute to the star, in a bid to pay their respect.

The star's sister, Ruth, who hasn't commented on her track with Liam, shared a heartbreaking statement on as she promised her brothee that his son, Bear, would always know how "incredible' he is was.

She wrote: "I don't feel this world was good enough or kind enough to you, and quite often over the last few years, you've had to really try hard to overcome all that was being aimed at you.

"You just wanted to be loved and to make people happy with your music. You never believed you were good enough, I hope you can now see this outpouring of love that you never received in your time." After promising that seven- year-old son Bear will "always know how incredible his Dad is," Ruth added, "I'm sorry I couldn't save you."

Liam's father, Geoff, is still in Argentina, while police try to establish the cause of the singer's death. The devastated dad, who flew out to Buenos Aires hours after the tragedy, has vowed to remain with him until he is able to return to the .

However, prosecutor Andrés Esteban Madrea, the lead investigator into Liam's death has warned that it could be ten days until the examination results are confirmed, meaning the singer's body will have to stay in South America until then.
