Former Little Mix member Jesy Nelson has shown off her bold new tattoo just days after the news broke of her split from Zion Foster.

The songstress, 33, and her R&B partner have called it quits after almost two years together, but Jesy is seemingly marking the occasion with a new bit of ink. Jesy, who already boasts a number of tattoos all over her body, took to social media to flaunt her latest work of art.

Posting a reel of images to Instagram, the star gushed: "The LA life might just be it." Among the images was her latest design which was scribed on her neck in red ink. The tattoo read: "Love girl".

Fans were quick to gush over the penmanship, with one user praising: "So real for that neck tat. Obsessed." Jesy responded to the user with an emoji face covered with love hearts. "DID U GET UR NECK TATTOOED ?," another gasped, while a third wrote: "loveeeee the new tattoo."

Other images in the reel included Jesy chilling with her pooch on her bed while an episode of Friends played in the background. She also took time out to play video games while looking fantastic in a white crop top and baggy faded blue jeans. She completed the look with a red bucket hat.

The latest post comes as sources say Jesy is trying to stop 25-year-old Zion releasing tunes they had worked together on. It's said the Bad Boyz hitmaker isn't keen on her ex releasing any further snippets or singles that feature her vocals.

Explaining their split, a source told the Sun they actually parted ways last month. The source claimed: "Jesy and Zion split last month and have completely cut ties with each other." It was added that it's not the first time they have split up but the source said that friends "think it's for good this time".

Jesy is currently in the US working on music. Her last hit dropped last month, almost four years after she quit Little Mix. Zion appeared on the single, titled Mine, which reached the top ten in the UK's iTunes charts. However, following news of her and Zion's split, Jesy has since deleted the Mine single cover from her Instagram grid.

She previously thanked her fans for the love she received after the release, saying she "could cry" at the support. Jesy added: "I've never known a more loyal, kind, beautiful, uplifting fan base!! I just can't even put into words what you guys mean to me."
