Jeremy Clarkson 'planning his own pub chain to rival Wetherspoons'

TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson could rival pub chain by launching his own chain, it's been reported.

Jeremy - who is at the moment - , the Farmer's Dog, in the Cotswolds earlier this year. now reports that he's earned the nickname Jezzaspoon among friends as he's said to be planning to open more pubs in the future.

As reported by the outlet, the star has applied to trademark the name Hawkstone Filling Station with the Intellectual Property Office in the UK. It adds that papers have been filed against "services for providing food and drink; temporary accommodation; bar services; bars; pubs; public house services; hospitality services; information, advisory and consultancy services in relation to all of the aforesaid".

He's said to also be preparing to branch out into ready meals and sandwiches as part of the alleged £1 million project - with it reported that the enterprise will be called Hops and Chops. On top of that, according to the Daily Star, he plans to venture into the homeware market with products like knives, crockery sets, aprons, and towels. It adds that he additionally intends to expand his empire with "prepared meals consisting primarily of meat, fish, poultry or vegetables," alongside an assortment of other culinary items such as pre-packed sandwiches, sauces, beers, and wines.

A source told the outlet: "Jeremy is hungry for success in the pub and he's planning a few more boozers up and down the country. And some of his circle have been calling him Jeremy Wetherspoon and Jezzaspoon."
