An Irish murder mystery recently added to Netflix 'will keep viewers on edge' according to those who have already seen it.
Clean Sweep has just been included on the streaming platform and it has immediately risen into the top 10 shows most watched in the UK.
This is despite the series still being available to watch for free on , where it was originally added in 2023.
It seems to be getting more attention after finding a second home on with fans enjoying the twists and turns of the six-part series.
The show follows housewife and mother-of-three Shelly Mohan, played by Charlene McKenna, and her husband Jason who happens to be a Garda detective.
However, their home life is thrown into disarray as a crime from her past resurfaces and he is put in charge of the investigation while eagerly chasing promotion.
During its initial run on BBC, some viewers compared it to a hit series, saying it is 'just like ' and well worth a watch.
Now, after being added to Netflix, it has at the time of writing landed at the fourth spot of the ten most-watched TV shows available on the service.
It is not far behind the new season of the popular series, The Diplomat.
Upon the original release of Clean Sweep, one review shared on Rotten Tomatoes stated: "This series will sweep viewers out of their chairs with twists and thrills. Clean Sweep is filled with grit and mystery that will keep viewers on edge and not knowing who to believe or what's true."
Another said: "Dense and twisty murder mystery series with a far-reaching case. An intriguing fast-paced psychological drama and police procedural in which we root for the baddie."
It is not the first series of its kind that has found a new surge of popularity via the subscription service.
Many Channel 5 original dramas have also earned similar bumps in viewership and it looks like Clean Sweep can be added to the list of hidden gems getting a better look thanks to Netflix.
Clean Sweep is streaming on Netflix and BBC iPlayer.
