'I'm pregnant and my husband is hiding a huge secret - my worst fears are coming true'

Dealing with a lying partner is always difficult - but it's even worse when there are children involved.

Discovering your partner is keeping a huge secret from you can be heartbreaking. Whether you find out that they're , hiding money from you, or simply heading out to the pub with some friends when they told you they were working late, it's never nice to know your significant other isn't telling you the truth.

But what would you do if you found out something that could end your while you also happened to be pregnant with your partner's child? That's the dilemma one woman is facing, as she said her "worst fears are coming true" after she found out what her has been up to behind her back.

The mum-to-be explained she's been married for over three years and is expecting her first child. She said the "wasn't an accident", and the pair have been eager to start a family for a while, with her husband particularly "desperate" to be a dad. She claimed her husband has been amazing throughout her pregnancy, and she had no doubts that they would be the perfect unit when their child arrives - until now.

In a post on , the woman said her husband is the "type of guy who likes to party on weekends", and so far she's been happy to let him go out with his friends. She doesn't go with him as she can't stand "all the noise", and she isn't the "jealous type", so she has never been worried about him cheating on her.

But over the weekend, she began to grow suspicious when her husband said he was "going to meet with the car mechanic" and then come straight home - but by 3am he was still out. The mum-to-be called him and got no answer, so she decided to go to his office to check the messenger app on his computer and was horrified by what she saw.

She saidL "There it was: a conversation with a girl right before he went out. Previously, they talked about a meeting that night, and she dropped a location of where to pick her up. There was a conversation before, too, where they were texting casually. It starts on October 4th, and it seems like he deleted the previous chat."

The woman said there didn't seem to be anything sexual in the messages, but there was an indication that her husband paid for this woman's "nose job surgery", which set off alarm bells in her head.

When she finally reached her husband on the phone, she confronted him about everything but said he kept "lying" to her and denying what she'd found. However, when he came home that night, he chose to sleep on the sofa without speaking to her - seemingly out of "guilt."

She added: "It is so embarrassing for me as a woman to end up in this situation of being cheated on while pregnant. It's like one of the worst fears coming true. For the well-being of my baby, I'm trying not to stress out too much, but I also have no idea what to do. How can I cope with it? I don't want a divorce."

Commenters on the post urged the woman to rethink her relationship, as even if her husband was just being friendly with the other woman, he's still staying out until 3am without telling her while she's at home pregnant with his baby. One person said: "Have some dignity. Leave him. He does not respect you. Paying for surgery is not something you do for a casual friend."

Another added: "Divorce. He's obviously cheating. This won't be the last time. You and your baby deserve better. And no, staying for the baby is NOT the right answer. Go to a friend's, go back to your family, but don't stay with a man who is doing this to you, especially when you're vulnerable. He isn't a good man or partner."
