Manchester United's managerial merry-go-round could spell danger for future transfer plans following the appointment of Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim.
United confirmed that the 39-year-old would be the club's new head coach following Erik ten Hag's dismissal on Monday. Amorim will officially take charge on November 11 due to an agreement with Sporting.
The Red Devils have continued their Premier League woes this season after finishing eighth last term. They currently find themselves 14th in the table after nine games, winning just three.
Whilst they haven't been any threat to Arsenal and Mikel Arteta in recent years, the powerhouse in football that is United have continued their trend in the transfer market of being fierce rivals.
Over recent years, the 20-time English winners have recruited some of the game's better players, despite sitting below the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal. In the recent transfer window, they beat Real Madrid to the signing of youngster Leny Yoro.
Now, with Amorim in charge, they could be about to use their colossal name to beat Arteta to one of their long-term targets.

The Sweden international scored 43 goals in 50 appearances under Amorim last season to help them become champions of Portugal. He has continued his incredible record in-front of goal with 16 goals in 15 games already this term.
Since the moment that Ten Hag was dismissed on Monday and Amorim was linked with the job, Gyokeres has been linked with a move to Manchester. The striker does have a £85million release clause in his contract and it wouldn't be surprising to see United move for him.
In one of our recent polls at Reach Plc by United fans, the priority is clear for Gyokeres. 34% of fans who voted on the poll believe a new centre-forward is the position that needs the most attention under Amorim.
Furthermore, when asked which player from Sporting would they like to see follow Amorin at Old Trafford, Gyokeres received the most votes with 59%.
