BBC Strictly Come Dancing viewers 'work out' winner after star breaks down in tears

Send Push

Strictly Come Dancing has entered its second week and viewers are convinced that they have figured out who will take home the Glitterball trophy after an emotional moment.

The BBC hit show made a return to our TV screens on Saturday night and former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri was brought to tears after impressing the judges and viewers at home with her performance.

Following last week's successful first show of the series, the 26-year-old and her professional dance partner Aljaž Škorjanec took to the floor and performed the Viennese Waltz to “Misty Blue” by Dorothy Moore.

The star elegantly floated across the dancefloor in a cobalt blue ball gown and the judges had nothing but positive feedback for Tasha.

Head judge Shirley Ballas remarked it was the “dance of the night” and said it made her “quite emotional”. Fellow judge, Anton Du Beke said: “Give us a chance, I wanted a fault so I could mark you down, seamless flow, immaculate frame, gorgeous footwork.”

Craig Revel Horwood also called it the “dance of the night”. Meanwhile, Motsi Mabuse said: “Love watching you, you brought us in, keep it up, amazing.”

Following their performance, Tasha was overcome with emotion as she broke down in tears. She went on to receive the first nines of the series and scored a total of 35 points.

This meant that she and Aljaz made history as the first duo to score the highest ever for a Viennese Waltz in week two.

Elsewhere host Claudia Winkleman pointed out that Tasha wasn’t the only one to get emotional as she revealed that Tasha’s dad Tarek, was also sobbing in the front row.
