BBC Breakfast favourite Sally Nugent jumped to Carol Kirkwood's defence after a lighthearted tease live on the show.
During Wednesday's (October 16) episode, viewers tuned in to see Sally alongside co-presenter Ben Thompson discussing the day's biggest news stories.
Later on, the duo were joined by the seasoned weather expert Carol, age 62, who was on hand with an important weather report.
Carol didn't pull any punches with her forecast, urging viewers to brace themselves for a barrage of heavy showers and gusty conditions.
She explained to the audience: "Looks like we will have strong winds for some but across the Northwest we could have severe gales so that is something to watch out for, particularly if you're travelling or maybe camping for example but the position of it may yet change so that's one we're looking at closely so just wanted to give you a heads up."

True to form, Carol provided clarity and noted: "Just a day or two, Sal. With each passing day it becomes firmer. So it really is one we're watching so tomorrow we're hoping to have a better idea on where it is going to go."
But the atmosphere turned playfully awkward when Ben threw a sneaky jab at Carol. Commenting on the impending weather, he quipped to Carol: "And if you stay there does it not come because it's hidden behind you? ".
A puzzled Carol, gesturing to her dress, retorted: "What are you saying? You cheeky thing, Ben."
The studio erupted into laughter while Sally quickly came to her aid, remarking: "I'll be having words with him." To which Ben quipped: "I'm in trouble."
It come as viewers noted another shift in presenters, as fan-favourite was absent for yet another day without any given reason.
