BBC Breakfast viewers call out Naga Munchetty's 'unprofessional' habit on the show

BBC Breakfast fans were quick to criticise host Naga Munchetty's on-air conduct, slamming it as 'unprofessional'.

Naga was co-hosting the show with on October 5's edition, which featured an interview with Ian Daniels, a colorectal surgeon and the President of Colostomy UK, alongside Debbie Meredith who campaigns for Stoma bag awareness and has two herself.

Their segment was set against the backdrop of the annual Stoma Aware Day taking place on October 5, aiming to spotlight life with a Stoma bag.

During the chat, Ian laid out the basics, telling Naga and Charlie: "Essentially a stoma means a mouth. So it's just the way for contents of your bowel to get outside."

As Naga delved deeper into how Stoma bags function, sharp viewers noted her seemingly nonchalant sip from her mug, which she then kept hold of for the rest of the segment, reports .

The gulp mid-interview left some viewers irritated, with one taking to X, formerly , to vent their frustration. "Naga so unprofessional drinking from a mug while interviewing a guest on the show," they wrote.

However, not everyone was as fixated on this minute detail. Numerous viewers actually lauded the segment for how informative it was.

The live interview had followed on from a pre-recorded section exploring the lives of people living with Stoma bags, and a campaign for lingerie that was created for people who had undergone an ostomy procedure.
