“Jonathan David is one of the biggest names on the market for the summer of 2025. Again, before making any decisions, he will take his time, it’s not something for now or something for 2024. Jonathan David will explore his options, but for sure, I expect him to leave Lille as a free agent.”

Football.london's Isaac Seelochan says: This would be an excellent signing for Arsenal - particularly if it's on a free. The Gunners have enjoyed an excellent start to the season but David would definitely be an upgrade on what they currently have up front.

Jesus plea

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has launched a passionate defence of Gunners striker Gabriel Jesus. "Can I just say something about Gabriel Jesus because I feel the need to support him right now," he said on .

"I really, really do. I know there’s a feeling that we may have outgrown him but remember when Gabby came, he was a leveller, he levelled us up. Arsenal are at a certain level now but we will definitely need him at some stage so I think it’s important in this moment for the Arsenal fans to support him.

"They have to get behind him. Don’t be frustrated with the way he’s playing, he’s trying so hard at the moment and we’re going to need him. We need to make sure we give him confidence because he’s won this [the Premier League] four times. He’s been clutch in many situations before.

"Listening to the murmurings and the way the fans are… please man, back this guy, stay with him. He wants to do so well and it’s just not happening right now but he needs support, he really, really does."

Football. London's Isaac Seelcohan says: It's not a surprise to see Jesus come under such scrutiny, with his position generally seen as Arsenal's weak spot. Wright knows a thing or two about scoring goals, though, and hopefully, his words will give Jesus some confidence.
