Ange Postecoglou has confirmed Tottenham captain Son Heung-min has not travelled to Germany ahead of Spurs' Europa League quarter-final second leg clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Son missed the weekend's 4-2 loss to Wolves in the and will again be absent on Thursday night. that the South Korean has been suffering with a foot injury in recent weeks.
The Australian said: "Sonny didn't travel and he's the only one who hasn't travelled. He's been struggling with his foot for a couple of weeks now and has been in pain. Everyone else is good. Kevin [Danso] trained and is available."
Danso has not made an appearance since the 2-2 draw against Bournemouth in early March but his return is a huge boost to Postecoglou. Danso has been suffering with a hamstring injury but now looks set to be named in the squad to face Frankfurt on Thursday evening.
At Molineux on Sunday, , with the Australian then confirming after the game that his experienced attacker should be fine for Thursday.
In , Son could be seen hiding behind Danso when the club's media team were recording the players making their way out to training. He was pictured working with the rest of the squad as they went through a number of warm-up drills but judging by Postecoglou's latest comments, the decision has been taken for Son to remain at Hotspur Way as he bids to return to the squad for the weekend.
